About The Designer - Marsha
Your personal jewelry designer has studied fine arts and crafts for most of her life. Her obsession with horses gave rise to drawing them constantly since grade school. She studied arts and crafting in high school, went on to major in Fine Arts at the university level and received both her Bachelors and Masters of Arts Degrees at the University of Evansville, in Evansville, Indiana. After graduation, she taught art in Indiana for 13 years, teaching all grade levels, 1st through 12th and Special Education. Under her direction, students painted wall murals in every classroom of one northern Indiana school, and the entry hall of another in southern Indiana. Some of these students were in wheelchairs and had to have platforms built to allow them to be raised to painting level. She enjoyed her students very much and was pleased to meet and help shape some very talented artists.
She then founded “Photo Specialties” and began a career in photography, where she again, met some very nice people and provided them with photographs of everything from graduation pictures to high action photos of horse showing. Her photographs have been published in the Quarter Horse Journal, Palomino Magazine, and the Samoyed Journal.
She then went to work in the western wear and tack industry as assistant manager and buyer of ladies apparel and jewelry for The Leatherman, in Evansville, Indiana. From there, she took a position as co-manager of the Great Western Boot Company in Orlando, Florida.
She is now retired and studies and designs gemstones and jewelry in Cape Coral, Florida. She, her Mother, and friends enjoy getting together to design and make jewelry and give a few Jewelry and Gemstone Shows and Sales at local retirement communities and other venues in the area. She loves choosing the stones, coordinating the crystals and other components, bringing them all together and letting the parts dictate the whole. The designs come from within, and each unique piece is created from the focal stone, outward. Every piece is carefully watched and “Cat Approved” by her feline shadow, Miss Oakley.
She has one child, a grown and very talented Daughter who is the designer and creator of this lovely website, to whom she will be forever grateful for lending her talent and expertise to this venture. She would also like to thank her best friend for coming up with such a wonderful name for the website.
Marsha puts a bit of her creative soul into each piece and hopes you enjoy wearing them as much as she has enjoyed making them. She hopes that you will feel “Bedazzled in Jewels” when stepping out the door in a one-of-a-kind creation, made just for you!
